Whitewater Skills, Barrington Bridge Reserve campground

Meet at Barrington Bridge Reserve, Gloucester at 9am.. The plan is to conduct some whitewater skills and assecement. then for those with appropriate skills to go for a paddle.

Ron Elliott wiil be  all day at Barrington Bridge.providing instruction .If paddlers cànnot-Break- out into Eddie's , Re--enter river flow, Sweep-strokes left and right.,Powerful draw-strokes, Ferry-glide forward and backwards.Know how to work inside a kayak to present a Hull to flowing water.Stay in group B with me at Barrington Bridge.More advanced members can do the trip from the  Rocky Crossing  or The Steps down.

Ensure you bring a change of clothes there is a good chance you will get wet so dress for immersion. you will need an appropriate whitewater craft with skirt and helmet. Some members have spares email the club if you would like to borrow and we will see what we can organise.

This will be fun day of learning some new skills.
